Dragon's Refuge Painting 1st Anual Beat The Chuck Paint Contest
He is the best and you all know it.

It is such a struggle to be this darn good with a brush. I am the best in the store as well as the best in the area. I know why we have not done a painting contest for a good while. The reason is, because I am the best and as a result me taking first place is as predictable as the Cubs not going to the World Series.

Since I like a challenge I am willing to put my brush where my mouth is and I am announcing the first anual "Beat the Chuck" painting contest.

Free to enter
To take part you need to do the following: Purchase a 25-35mm model (limit to something that would be on a 25mm-40mm base so things like D&D characters, light warjacks, beasts, Chronoscope models, Old West models, whatever) from the Dragon's Refuge in the next month and have Brock, Marty, or Rich sign your reciet and it will be kept on file at the store. Paint that model and have it availible for the July 25th games day. A group of impartial judges as well as the masses as a whole will vote on the models. I will be doing the same. If you somehow manage to take 1st I will purchase for you a model of your choice (maximum of 10 bucks, I am cheap) as well as admit infront of everyone that you are a better painter then me.

If you manage to take 2nd or 3rd the store may toss in prizes, but who would you rather beat, the store or ME?

Muhhahhh bring it, for my brush will crush you all. All smack talk aside, I would very much like to see a painting community here at the shop. There is talk of getting in the Reaper paints, and I will be able ot host Paint and Takes with Reaper's blessing as well as get all kinds of cool stuff for the store.

Figures <hmmmm pun> i would miss this. Since you said this is an annual event does that mean we have to wait a whole year for the next event. Possibly the next game day?

I am going to talk with Rich and see if we can make the painting contest a constant at gamesdays. I would like to try themes. With October being Breast Cacer awareness month, I think it would be cool if we did a pink themed event at some point. Bececause lets face it as gamers and men, we all like breasts. Also congrats to our two winners Robert and Karl.

I think he was a French fighter pilot. You know, an ace in exile if you will.
He may have tornado madness, but that's no excuse for tornado rudeness.
